In 2003, with 12 years of industry knowledge and experience in recruiting and developing graduates, Simon began his own graduate selection and development consultancy, Graduate Success Ltd, built on his firm belief in "making graduate recruitment work" - a simple but rare
philosophy, that means not merely finding and placing the best graduate talent in companies, but working with both the graduate and employer to ensure maximum delivery and ROI from that talent!
Simon has a real passion for the graduate market. He understands that companies with the
ambition to excel need the very best talent and believes the graduate market offers incredible,
untapped potential for providing this talent. He’s also passionate about helping the top-tier graduates to prepare for the job-hunting market and the ‘big wide world’ of work.
In 2006, Simon was appointed Director of the former Student Industrial Society (SIS), the UK’s
largest non-political student society, helping students to maximise their employability skills and
stand out in a highly competitive job market. Under his leadership, the society has rebranded
and successfully relaunched as Bright Futures, with many prominent corporate members
working closely with member universities.
Simon’s direction has meant that for the first time, members – both corporates and students –
can now network online, through Bright Futures forums, blogs and Online Profiles; as well as the
more traditional skills workshops and on-campus events.
