“Students who take personal responsibility for improving their skills and professional network is what the Bright Futures Society is all about and I am delighted to recognise some truly outstanding achievements through our Awards. All our committee members work hard through the year running skills & careers focused events & competitions on campus for our corporate investors and it is absolutely right that we acknowledge and thank them for this.
We also have a commitment to developing the next generation, the 2010/11 committee, through training ready for the academic year ahead so they can deliver more great events and continue growing their Society. Through these activities they will develop tremendous skills, confidence and of course a professional network”
said Simon Reichwald, Managing Director of Bright Futures.

“Bright Futures National Events offer a fantastic opportunity to network, learn what the corporates are after, listen to the advice of successful people and meet like-minded high-calibre students.
When we won Best Newcomer last year many anticipated we would win Best Society in 2010 and it is great that we delivered what we promised to our members, sponsors and national team. Leading Edinburgh Bright Futures was the most challenging and rewarding experience I have ever had, it taught me a lot and I am very grateful for all the support along the way from Bright Futures community, my friends and family and the committee!”

"Fantastic to win the best new society of the year award, a great way to end the year. It has been a great experience setting up and running the St Andrews Bright Futures society i hope that it grows from strength to strength on the back of this award'
Being involved in Bright Futures this year has given me a wealth of experience to draw on in the future. From setting up the society, dealing with the University, working closely with the careers centre and other student societies, to contacting and working with professionals in various fields from consumer goods, insurance, professional services and banking and finally developing management skills to organise and motivate a society.
