BRIGHT FUTURES WEBINAR SESSION IS A HUGE SUCCESS FOR HBOS!

HBOS are working closely with Bright Futures to fill their 2009 Summer Placement schemes. This will culminate in an Interns Day where selected Bright Futures Students will be invited to a half day assessment centre. The collaboration intends to enable HBOS to fill all their places in one fell-swoop.

On the 5th February the process kicked off with a hugely successful WEBINAR event.

Despite being unexpectedly snowed-in at home, two HBOS representatives were still able to present live to a huge number of students from all over the country who were interested in finding out more about their numerous placement schemes and applying.

With only three days notice, 10 universities organised and hosted webinar events with as many as 150 student members simultaneously participating in the interactive presentation. Society Committees who introduced the webinar session to their members in the form of an on-campus event ensured that HBOS had prime position on the big screen!

Essex Uni had 26 students viewing on a big screen

Those who weren’t able to get together with their fellow members (for whatever reason) were still able to get involved by logging on from the comfort of their own homes and even from bed if necessary!

A corporate presentation, live in your home!

The large volume of participants in the webinar was proven by the influx of questions from students all over the country at the end of the presentation, all keen to find out more and get involved in this new interactive means of communication with corporates. Many have already started on their applications too – according to our Bright Futures Presidents.

Feedback from the students has been fantastic – those who promoted the event are certain that the webinar drew far more attention than a standard on-campus presentation would have, and deemed it to be a very effective form of communication.

“Many thanks for the wonderful session from the LSE Bright Futures!”

This event has proved how hugely powerful our webinar events are, and we’re keen to do more!!
