Our principles
Essex Bright Futures is a student-led society, essentially focused on 3 main ideas;
1. Helping students from all degree disciplines to maximize their employability skills through year-round collaboration with industry through weekly on campus events such as skills sessions and company presentations teaching our members about the key skills employers look for.
2. Missing out the middle man - getting our members in direct contact and networking with graduate employers and recruiters to ensure in turn….
3. …they have complete knowledge and advice from all the right sources such as recruiters, people in industry, the Careers Centre, or even specially selected websites, magazines and external events.
Our events
Our events are tailor made to YOUR requests and needs! The events are normally delivered in the form of skills sessions, company presentations and internship opportunity presentations.
Many of our events have an opportunity for networking and questions&answers with refreshments, an integral part of the self development process.
During the last academic year (2008/09), we held events with various companies; they included, PricewaterhouseCoopers, ICAEW, ShellSTEP, RateMyPlacement, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Resourcing Matters, City Law School and HBOS plc.
Events take place weekly normally on Square 1, in the CSEE networking centre in the evening.
