Welcome to Bright Futures York Society!

York Bright Futures is a society for ambitious, forward-thinking students seeking an advantage in the competitive world of graduate employment.

Joining the Bright Futures society gives you the opportunity to network with representatives from top graduate employers and the chance to meet and discuss with other like-minded students. All this in aid of helping you make informed decisions directing you on the right track for a successful career.

For the membership fee of £3 a year you will be invited to attend all the events we hold on campus for free. You will also be kept up to date on all developments and latest information.

Just joining a society like this can give you an advantage when the time comes for those all important interviews.

What We Do

We mediate networking and the development of student employability skills through hosting events and workshops on campus. We encourage graduate employers to come to York and hold such events as this is beneficial to both the companies who benefit from promoting their name and attracting the high calibre graduate as well as the students who learn and develop key skills.

Some of the events we are hoping to hold or have held in the past include:

Presentations (i.e. “what is management consulting” / “what recruiters look for”)
Skills Workshops (i.e. C.V. writing / Interview skills)
Business Games

Our society aims to provide the best service to help students maximise their employability skills, as well as helping them discover their real ambition by giving opportunities to network with representatives from different industries.

Interested?

We encourage our members to be active and so we welcome any suggestions on how to improve our young society. We want to hear your requests for companies and firms that you would like to see on campus.
