your bright future

Bright Futures is a national society with headquarters in Birmingham. It is the largest non-political society in the UK with approx 40 societies based at university campuses across the country. Bright Futures members realise that coming out of university with just a degree is not enough anymore, therefore they actively increase their portfolio of skills. Bright Futures focuses on delivering quality employability skills training to students, as well as engaging in a range of projects to facilitate the interface between university life and the world of work.

Bright Futures focuses on six key employability skill areas:

  • Teamwork and Leadership
  • Negotiation
  • Sales and marketing skills
  • Communication
  • Problem solving and creativity
  • Personal effectiveness

These skill areas are developed through interactive workshops and presentations both on and off campus, at local, regional and national levels delivered by local contacts and Bright Futures member organisations.

Bright Futures offers you fantastic opportunities to:

  • Interact with managers from top companies
  • Work with well motivated students from other universities
  • Develop key skills giving you the edge when looking for jobs
  • Attend national conferences and focus groups

Bright Futures can give you the chance to stand out from your peers. As a committee member you will have even more opportunities and responsibilities within the network. You will have the chance to improve your local society, as well as developing yourself with evidence to support your skills, allowing you to progress to the career and the life of your choice.

We kindly thank our sponsors Deloitte for making this possible
